Novopazarski sebilj - ponavljanje i razlika
Novi Pazar's well: Repetition and difference

Thanks to that connection with water they trough their plastics and utilitarianism unite pragmatic and symbolic functions; appeasing thirst of passer by, presenting spots of social gathering and often they have monumental relatively memorial character. In Novi Pazar's central zone was brought plastic dominant that defines surrounding extensive structure. Therefore Novi Pazar's well as a picture of Sarajevo's, hides in itself possibility to become an element which, from one side makes city center provincial until, from the other side, denies (or distorts) memorial matrix of the town. For Novi Pazar's well we could say that represents probably the first postmodern monument in Novi Pazar. After the period of the socialistic modernism and its 'great story' about (ideal) development of the social community that is clearly read from the ambitious project for the city arrangement, vulgarism of Transition (encounters before all in illegal and rough building), Novi Pazar in well got one 'little story' that functioning in modus of postmodern state. Novi Pazar's well engaging imaginative potential of the spectator gather around it s representation numerous other pictures in which mixes past and present and so builds its own narrative, bounded only with context of its origin.
