Entrepreneurial orientation and personality traits
Апстракт
This paper examines the interrelationship between entrepreneurial orientation and attitude towards entrepreneurship on the one hand, and personality traits and value orientations (wage leveling, hedonism, conformism, material orientation, ambition, ego strength, etc.), assessments of the economic crisis, sex, age, education, financial status, etc. on the other. Scale of entrepreneurial orientation and attitude towards entrepreneurship was constructed and psychometrically tested. The scales of D. Pantić were used for examining value orientations. The sample included 132 students of psychology, economics and engineering of the University of Belgrade and 148 workers from production plants in Belgrade. Smederevo and Pančevo. A descriptive and correlative data analysis was made. In this paper, as well as in some associated research, certain values were found which have a significant positive correlation with entrepreneurial orientation. These primarily include a tendency towards risk, tende...ncy towards change, internal locus of control, and leadership. However, what is specific for this research is the identification of four significant negative correlates of entrepreneurial orientation: egalitarianism, conformism, authoritarianism and collectivism.
