Kripkeova kritika teorije psihofizičkog identiteta

Abstract

U ovom radu se tvrdi da Kripkeova argumentacija protiv teorije psihofizičkog identiteta, mada veoma uverljiva u pogledu teze o identitetu vrsta mentalnih i fizičkih stanja, ne pruža dovoljno razloga za odbacivanje fizikalizma instanci. Vrednosti i domašaji funkcionalističkih odgovora na Kripkeovu kritiku preispituju se u svetlu Nejgelovog razlikovanja perceptivne i simpatetičke imaginacije. Pri tome se skreće pažnja i na značaj koji razlikovanje istraživačkih perspektiva prvog i trećeg lica ima za ovu problematiku.

It is argued in this article that Kripke's criticism of the mind-body identity theory, although bearing indisputable strength against type identity theories, offers no adequate grounds for refuting the token identity. Functionalist responses are carefully examined and elucidated in a the light of Nagel's distinction between the perceptive and sympathetic imagination. Moreover, the first-person and third-person perspective distinction significantly clears up some interesting aspects of this dispute.
