О канонизацији светих у Римокатоличкој цркви - кратак осврт

Abstract

Циљ рада који је пред нама је да у кратким цртама представи развој и процедуру канонизације светих у Римокатоличкој цркви у прошлости, уз осврт на тренутно важеће прописе.

The aim of this paper was to briefly present the concepts of beatification and canonization of the saints in the Roman Catholic Church, and how they were regulated, starting from the time when the Church was Universal, then, in the Roman Catholic Church after the schism until the present day, with an emphasis on the course of the canonization process under current regulations. Initially, canonization was the responsibility of the local bishop, later, because of the new needs of the Church, the pope’s decrees sought to regulate and control canonization, so that from the 17th century beatification and canonization became the exclusive right of the Holy See.
