Da li je specifičnost svedočanstva faktor njegove koherentnosti? Slučaj ekvivalentnih iskaza

Abstract

Ukoliko imamo sa jedne strane dva svedoka koji, nezavisno jedan od drugog tvrde da je ubica muškarac, a sa druge strane druga dva svedoka koja nezavisno jedan od drugog tvrde da je ubica plav, plavook i gojazan muškarac, koje je od dva svedočanstva koherentnije? Da li je koherentnije ono koje pruža više informacija ili je koherentnost jednaka i u jednom i u drugom skupu s obzirom na to da su oba skupa svedočanstava logički ekvivalentna? Ukratko, da li sadržajnost, tj. specifičnost svedočanstva može povećati stepen koherentnosti? U ovom radu zastupaćemo tvrdnju da koherentnost iskaza u nekom skupu ne zavisi od njihove specifičnosti.

If we have, on the one hand, two witnesses who, independently of one another, testify that the killer is male, and on the other hand, two witnesses who claim independently of one another, that the killer is blond, blue-eyed and overweight man, which of the two testimonies is more coherent? Could it be that the more coherent testimony is the one which offers more information? Or are they equally coherent? In short, can the amount of information, i.e. specificity of testimony, raise its coherence ? In this paper, we will defend the claim that the coherence of a set of logically equivalent statements is independent of their specificity.
