Abstract

Живот српског становништва Старе Србије у другој половини 19.века био је обележен притиском њихових суседа Албанаца. И у Подримљу, метохијској микрообласти, албанска насртљивост је такође обележила епоху.Насиља Албанаца за последицу су имала мењање етничке и верске слике бројних насеља на штету православних Срба. Исељавање Срба повлачило је и урушавање или уништавање православних храмова и других материјалних трагова српске средњовековне државности. Текст Милоша Велимировића настао је на основу његових сећања на боравак у Подримљу шездесетих година 19. века, када је био ђак манастира Дечана. Он садржи податке о насељима, ономастици, етничком распореду,црквама, манастирима и њиховим остацима, те о обичајима и начину живота подримских Срба. Будући да је сачувано врло мало наративних извора о прошлости подримских Срба пре последње четвртине 19. века, овај извор представља драгоцено сведочанство за локалну историју, али и за историју Старе Србије.

The life of the Serbian population in Old Serbia was marked by the pressure of their Albanian neighbors in the second half of the 19th century. This pressure also left an imprint on this entire period in Podrimlje, the micro-region of Metohija. The Albanian pressure resulted in a change of the ethnic and religious image of numerous settlements to the detriment of Orthodox Serbs. The emigration of Serbs also implied the collapse or destruction of Orthodox churches and other material traces of Serbian medieval statehood. The published text of Miloš Velimirović is based on his memories of his stay in Podrimlje in the 1860s, when he studied at the Dečani monastery. It contains information on settlements, onomastics, ethnic distribution, churches, monasteries, and their remains, as well as the customs and lifestyle of the suburban Serbs. Given that very few narrative sources are preserved about the past of the Serbs in this area before the last quarter of the 19th century, this source is a valuable testimony to local history as well as the history of Old Serbia as a whole. Based on the prepared source, one obtains knowledge about the existence of hitherto unknown churches and monasteries, which Velimirović saw and described, and whose trace completely disappeared by the end of the 19th century. It can also be used to trace the change of the religious and ethnic structure of settlements in the micro-regions of the Podrimlje region in the second half of the 19th century.
