The Flavian colony of Scupi in the south of Moesia Superior has yielded a fair amount of inscriptions pertaining to officers, soldiers and veterans of the Roman army. The men served in various units, ranging from the Moesian legions VII Claudia and IV Flavia to auxiliary regiments and the praetorian guard. The aim of this paper is to examine the available epigraphic evidence and assess its importance for the history of Scupi.
