Ко је био мајстор „Стоiс” – о златару Николи Стојисиљевићу

Abstract

Пионирска истраживања српске примењене уметности XIX века идентификовала су непознатог мајстора „Стоића“ као једног од најзначајнијих и најпродуктивнијих златарских мајстора друге половине XIX века. Бројни предмети од сребра израђивани у духу европског историзма и текућих стилова овог раздобља потписани су његовим мајсторским жигом, који је уједно једини податак који га поуздано идентификује. Артифицирано црквено литургијско сребро и грађанска сребрнина означени пунцама мајстора „Стоића“ сведочанство су домета визуелне културе сасвим рецентне сродним европским токовима. Након обимних истраживања које смо предузели постепено се разоткрила личност овог мајстора те његова професионална и лична биографија, поуздано га идентификујући као београдског златара Николу Стојисиљевића. На тај начин остварен је значајан помак у одосу на цењене претходнике а национална историографија обогаћена је новим поузданим атрибуцијама. Порекло овог мајстора, његово професионално кретање и опус уметничке делатности јасније контекстуализују међусобно преплитање и утицаје балканског и централноевропског културног модела који кроз наведени пример могу бити схваћени пре као комплементарне него супротстављене целине.

Researchers of Serbian applied art, as well as numerous preserved artified silver objects with his marks, identified master “Stoić” as one of the most impor tant goldsmiths of the second half of the 19th century. For more than half a century, the goldsmith’s hallmark from whom the surname “Stoić” was in cor rectly derived was the only information about this prominent master. After extensive field research and collecting new items with his marks, as well as stu ding the archival material, we came to a reliable attribution that identifies the master “Stoić” as the Belgrade goldsmith Nikola Stojisiljević. He was born in Užice in 1833 and studied goldsmithing as a journeyman for nine years in Budapest and other cities. He was entered as the master in the book of the Belgra de guild of watchmakers and goldsmiths after he took the master’s exam in front of the entire Belgrade guild on September 28, 1859, at the time when the head was the goldsmith Miša Naković. In the work shop of goldsmith Stojisiljević, journeymen from numerous cities throughout Serbia learned the craft. This goldsmith crafted useful and decorative items made of silver, and his works can be divided in to artistically designed objects of profane purpose and ci vil utensils and liturgical silver and utensils in tended for the Orthodox Church. These art objects were made in numerous historical stylistic variations and their visual forms varied from late classicism and Biedermeier to the second Rococo and Neo-Baroque. In the artistic sense, the works of Nikola Stojisiljević in the Serbian environment completely followed European trends. The attribution of Nikola Stojisiljević as the master “Stoić” is a step towards a more com plete and well-argued national cultural history.
