dc.description.abstractThe chapter presents the results of a study exploring secondary traumatization in service providers working with refugees passing along the Balkan route. The chapter discusses the most prominent clusters of risk and protective factors for secondary traumatization, such as work-related factors (e.g., work support, cooperation, work conditions), trauma-related (type and quantity of secondary exposure to truma), and person-related factors (i.e., coping strategies) with the focus on impact of secondary traumatization on service providers’ professional and personal life.sr
