AB - Rad predstavlja kvalitativno istraživanje o iskustvima istopolnih porodica u Srbiji od početka epidemije kovid-19. U Srbiji, istopolne porodice nisu pravno priznate, dok zakon o registrovanim istopolnim zajednicama još uvek nije usvojen.
AB - This paper presents a qualitative research on the experiences of
same-sex families in Serbia since the beginning of the kovid -19 epidemic. In Serbia,
same-sex families are not legally recognized, while the law on same-sex unions
has not yet been adopted. The first part of the paper focuses on the theoreticalepistemological assumptions of the research of same-sex families and LGBTQ+
parenting, while the second part offers an interpretive phenomenological analysis
(IPA) through three case studies. In this paper, I analyze the experiences related to
the family life of three women during and after the pandemic period, focusing on
the wide range of meanings that this brings with it. The research strives to present the authentic meanings of the lesbian parents as closely as possible, taking into
account the differences in the perspectives and interpretations of the respondents.
The theoretical and epistemological framework is a phenomenological approach,
and the aim of the paper is not only to analyze and describe the experiences and
meanings that the respondents had during the pandemic period, but connecting
these experiences with the wider socio-cultural and political context, in order to
determine how the context and personal stories are connected.

AB - This qualitative research aims to examine the impact of environmental
factors, during the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of the older adults,
observing one aspect of mental health – support systems. In the theory of gestalt therapy, support systems are defined through the supports in ourselves and
the environment so that is self-support (psychophysical health, identity, internal value system, daily practices that provide a sense of continuity) and the environmental support (family relationships and social networks, housing, etc.). In this
paper, I observed how measures during the pandemic influenced the change of
the support system of the older adults, whether the previous support system was
transformed and whether new types of support appeared due to adaptation to the
crisis situation. In researching this problem, I used an in-depth interview, applied
to a case study of two people from the Belgrade.

Changes in Value Orientations in Serbia, 2003-2018. Patriarchy, Authoritarianism and Nationalism

AB - The authors analyze the changes in value patterns-patriarchy, authoritarianism and nationalism-in Serbia in the context of the social changes that have marked the post-socialist transformation period. They focus on the extent and intensity of two sub-patterns within each of these three basic value patterns: private and public patriarchy, general and specific authoritarianism, organic (natural) and ethnic nationalism. The conclusions about changes in these value patterns are drawn on the basis of three empirical studies conducted in 2003, 2012, and 2018. They show the prevalence of private patriarchy, general authoritarianism, and organic (natural) nationalism over their counterparts. Private patriarchy has weakened, which is largely to be explained by the significant structural changes in Serbia. On the other hand, support of general authoritarianism and organic (natural) nationalism has been on the rise, which clearly mirrors the unfavorable economic and political situation in the country.

AB - This chapter summarises the volume’s contributions and underscores the challenges awaiting lesbian emancipation in the post-Yugoslav space. The text is organised in the form of a transnational and intergenerational dialogue with activists from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Croatia, and Serbia. The discussion aims to take stock of decades of lesbian activist initiatives in distinctly unfavourable post-socialist and post-conflict circumstances that have been further aggravated by the global economic crisis. The chapter also examines affective dimensions of a collective work on the history and politics of post-Yugoslav lesbian activisms.

Lesbian activism in the (post-)Yugoslav space: Sisterhood and unity

AB - This book intertwines academic and activist voices to engage with more than three decades of lesbian activism in the Yugoslav space. The empirically rich contributions uncover a range of lesbian initiatives and the fundamental, but rarely acknowledged, role that lesbian alliances have played in articulating a feminist response to the upsurge of nationalism, widespread violence against women, and high levels of lesbophobia and homophobia in all of the post-Yugoslav states. By offering a distinctly intergenerational and transnational perspective, this collection does not only shed new light on a severely marginalised group of people, but constitutes a pioneering effort in accounting for the intricacies - solidarities, joys, and tensions - of lesbian activist organising in a post-conflict and post-socialist environment. With a plethora of authorial standpoints and innovative methodological approaches, the volume challenges the systematic absence of (post-)Yugoslav lesbian activist enterprises from recent social science scholarship. Lesbian Activism in the (Post-)Yugoslav Space will be of interest to students and scholars across a range of disciplines, including gender studies, history, politics, anthropology, and sociology.

AB - This paper analyses certain aspects of everyday life of the LGBT population in Serbia, starting with Gerc's understanding of culture. Aspects that shape the 'identity' of a non-heterosexual person in a predominantly heteronormative and heterosexual environment are a stigma, internalized homophobia, and various strategies of 'passing' and connecting with the 'gay' community. These elements are an integral part of the lives of LGBT people and based on them we can talk about certain meanings that are common to LGBT population. The first part deals with concepts such as identity, internalized stigma/ homophobia, while the second part deals with several case studies of non-heterosexual persons. The experiences such as sexual orientation different from heterosexual and gender identities that are not binary make it possible to speak in Gerc's sense of a certain 'culture' that is familiar to LGBT minority, which is largely not shared by heterosexual women and men in the same society. That culture of the LGBTTIQ population forms part of a hidden and an invisible culture - being in opposition to the heteronormative concepts means exposure to discrimination and violence, which brings a lot of misunderstandings but also means resistance - a certain challenge to the society that is standardized by heterosexual rules and binary gender regimes. The LGBTTIQ 'culture' has the power to deconstruct oppositions such as heterosexual/homosexual, men/women, etc.

AB - This paper analyzes certain theoretical and methodological problems in the research of (homo) sexuality. It also provides an overview of some of the conclusions about LGBT parenting. There are both theoretical and practical reasons behind making connections between the topics of parenting and problems of a different sexual orientation. On the one hand, there is a need to expand the knowledge of the LGBT population and same-sex families in domestic sociology (considering that these issues are present for more than a decade in our society), while on the other hand, LGBT parenting problem analytically refers to the study of homosexuality because these two issues are inseparable in the public discourse. In general, the aim of this paper is to introduce LGBT perspectives in sociology and sociology of the family by pointing out the epistemological importance of studying non-heterosexual orientation and alternative family forms of LGBT. The first part includes the analysis of certain theoretical and methodological problems in the study of the LGBT population, and the second part gives an overview of contemporary research on same-sex families.

AB - This paper presents different views and experiences of women on abortion and contraception, on the basis of data obtained through in-depth interviews, within the project 'Policies of parenting'. The aim of the analysis is to obtain a deeper insight into the meaning that respondents have on abortion and discourse used when talking about this topic. The methodology is qualitative and includes an analysis of in-depth interviews with a sample of 30 respondents from the territory of Belgrade. The results show that respondents generally have, at least nominally, a positive attitude toward abortion and usually argue their positions through the discourse of 'individual decisions', but also 'feminist' discourse and 'anti-nationalist' discourse. Negative views are in the minority and the one that is the most prevalent are religious and discourse of 'naturalization' which includes the belief that motherhood, birth and practices associated with parenting are natural women functions and natural role of women in society. However, the deeper meaning behind the persons' declarative statement is often a mixing of positive and negative discourses, which indicates that respondents have not quite clear and precise views. This, however, should not be surprising, because in addition to the dominant public discourses on abortion which generally are not positive and still pronounced conservatism towards women's sexuality in our society (and the silence on this subject) it is logical that such contextual factors refract on a personal level respondents. In addition to these, the paper discusses the nationalist and anti-nationalist discourses and 'denaturalization'.

Dobijene podatke treba posmatrati u skladu sa promenama u srpskom društvu - ekonomskom krizom, privatizacijom, porastom nasilja u društvu i u porodici, redefinisanjem rodnih uloga itd.
AB - The analysis of attitudes and value orientations of high school students comes as the result of research based on data collected during April-June 2011 in six towns in Serbia. The main objective of this research was to detect the dominant attitudes and value orientations of high school students on a scale of traditionalism, homophobia, anti-Romism, ethnic stereotypes and attitudes toward abortion. The research was conducted in the following cities: Belgrade, Krusevac, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Nis and Novi Pazar. The results showed that high school students in Serbia in regards to their beliefs do not differ much from the general social climate in which they grew up and were educated in. Traditional respondents are represented at the level of 33.9%; 27.9% of them are moderately traditional and 25% of them are non-traditional. On the one side there are extremely radical position of high school students especially in relation to Roma and LGBT people. On the other side, certain number of respondents howed high affinity and positive individual interprets of the lifestyles of those groups (such as the rights of marriage for homosexual population). Attitudes towards women's rights are also bipolar - high school students have a patriarchal attitude towards marriage, family and abortion, but they show sensitivity to the issue of domestic violence. The obtained data should be interpreted in accordance with the changes in Serbian society - economic crisis, privatization, increase of violence in society and family, redefining of gender roles, etc.

AB - This paper presents a survey of LGBT attitudes towards the security sector in Serbia. During the five focus groups with LGBT persons, we determined the basic characteristics of police attitudes towards sexual minorities. By examining the relationship between the police and the sexual minorities, the author attempts to determine the institutional practice towards homosexuality. The study also notes the differences between respondents based on their status and the size of their place of residence. This paper looks at events such as the Pride Parade, which lead to the appearance of anti-gay factions and political conflicts.

abstract = "Rad predstavlja istraživanje o stavovima LGBT populacije prema sektoru bezbednosti u Srbiji. This paper presents a survey of LGBT attitudes towards the security sector in Serbia. This paper looks at events such as the Pride Parade, which lead to the appearance of anti-gay factions and political conflicts.",
