AB  - Rezultati dosadašnjh istraživanja su ukazali na jaku vezu između kriminalnog ponašanja maloletnih delinkvenata sa jedne strane i crta ličnosti i odnosa u porodici sa druge strane. Međutim, još uvek se malo zna o tome koliko su odnosi unutar porodice i karakteristike ličnosti povezani sa kriminalnim recidivizmom. Cilj istraživanja bio je da ispita ove odnose koristeći kraću verziju skale Velikih pet + dva (Neuroticizam, Ekstraverzija, Otvorenost za iskustvo, Savesnost, Prijatnost, Pozitivna valenca, Negativna valenca), Skalu kvaliteta porodičnih interakcija (zadovoljstvo porodicom, prihvatanje/odbacivanje od strane majke/oca) i zvanične podatke iz kriminalnih dosija. Istraživanje je sprovedeno na 61 institucionalizovanom delinkventu i 64 ne-delinkventa, uzrasta od 15 do 18 godina. Neuroticizam, Otvorenost za iskustvo, Savesnost, Negativna valenca, prihvatanje od strane oca i odbacivanje od strane majke su statistički značajni prediktori kriminalnog recidivizma maloletnih delinkvenata. Delinkventi su pokazali statistički značajno više skorove na Neuroticizmu, kao i niže na Savesnosti i prihvatanju od strane majke u odnosu na ne-delinkvente.
AB  - Previous studies have demonstrated a strong association of criminal behavior of juvenile delinquents with delinquents' personality traits and family interactions. However, little is known about the extent to which family interactions and personality traits are associated with criminal recidivism. The present study aimed to examine these relationships, using the Velikih pet plus dva (Big Five Plus Two) - short version (assessing Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Aggressiveness, Positive Valence, Negative Valence), the Quality of Family Interaction Scale (Satisfaction with family, Mother and Father Acceptance/Rejection), and official data from criminal records. The study included 61 institutionalized delinquents and 64 non-delinquents, 15 to 18 years of age. Neuroticism, Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Negative valence, acceptance by father and rejection by mother are statistically significant predictors of criminal recidivism in juvenile delinquents. Delinquents showed higher Neuroticism, lower Conscientiousness and acceptance by mother compared to non-delinquents.

Organizaciona identifikacija, predanost i orijentacije profesionalnih vojnih lica

AB  - Uvod/Cilj. Sve vojne organizacije traže takve zaposlene koji će se zalagati za misiju organizacije i delovati odgovorno u smeru postizanja ciljeva operativnih i radnih grupa kojima pripadaju. U skladu s tim, primarni zadatak menadžmenta vojnih organizacija nije samo formiranje pripadnika koji bi bili posvećeni organizaciji već i oficira i vojnika koji se identifikuju sa organizacionom misijom. Cilj istraživanja bio je da se ispita postojanje razlika u organizacionoj identifikaciji, predanosti organizaciji i organizacionim orijentacijama kod profesionalnih vojnih lica i lica zaposlenih u uslužnim i administrativnim delatnostima. Metode. Uzorak istraživanja činilo je ukupno 450 ispitanika - 150 profesionalnih pripadnika vojske, 150 zaposlenih u civilnom sektoru na uslužnim poslovima i 150 zaposlenih u civilnom sektoru na administrativnim poslovima. Za statističku obradu podataka korišćene su analiza varijanse i kanonička diskriminativna analiza. Rezultati. Profesionalna vojna lica odlikovao je visok stepen kako organizacione predanosti tako i organizacione identifikacije u poređenju sa zaposlenima u civilnom sektoru na uslužnim i administrativnim delatnostima. Kroz postupak kanoničke diskriminacione analize utvrđeno je da je profesionalna vojna lica od ostalih razlikovao visok stepen doživljaja sličnosti sa kolegama i visok stepen lojalnosti vojnoj organizaciji, kao ključnim aspektima organizacione identifikacije. Uz to, profesionalna vojna lica imala su izraženiju afektivnu privrženost organizaciji. Zaključak. Ljudski resursi predstavljaju ključ i glavni faktor konkurentske prednosti u kontekstu snažne konkurentnosti na polju vojno-odbrambene realnosti. S obzirom na to da su oni adaptibilniji i fleksibilniji, u poređenju sa tehnološko-strukturalnim resursima, visok stepen doživljaja sličnosti sa ostalim pripadnicima organizacije, izražena lojalnost i afektivna predanost organizaciji, u dobroj meri garantuju nove uspehe i napredak vojne organizacije.
AB  - Background/Aim. All military organizations seek such employees who will advocate for the organization's mission and act responsibly in the direction of achieving the objectives of operational and working groups to which they belong. Accordingly, the primary task of the military organization management is not only the cultivation of the members who would be committed to the organization, but also the officers and soldiers who identify with the organizational mission. The aim of this study was to examine differences in organizational identification, commitment to the organization and organizational orientations of the professional military personnel and employees in service and administrative activities. Methods. The research sample consisted of 450 respondents, of whom 150 were professional soldiers, 150 civilian employees in the service sector and 150 employees in the civil sector in administration. For statistical analysis of the data, the analysis of variance and canonical discriminant analysis were used. Results. Professional military personnel was characterized by a high degree of both organizational commitment and organizational identification, compared with employees in the civil sector - service and administrative activities. Through the process of canonical discriminant analysis, it was found that the professional military personnel are different from the other personnel in the sense that they identify with their colleagues and they feel a high degree of loyalty to the military organization, as key aspects of organizational identification. In addition, professional military personnel have pronounced affective commitment to the organization. Conclusion. Human resources are the key and the essential factor of advantage in the context of strong competitiveness in the field of military defense's reality. Given that they are more adaptable and flexible, compared with the technological and structural resources, a high degree of experienced similarity with the other members of the organization, pronounced loyalty and affective commitment to the organization, to a large extent guarantee new successes and the progress of the military organization.

Emotions at school: an obstacle or an encouragement to learning?

AB  - Emotions and cognition have long been treated as separate processes in psychology. Emotions were considered a distractor of rational processes, and it was endeavoured, especially at school, to reduce the influence of emotions to the lowest level possible. However, the contemporary research in the field of neurobiology and psychology states the complete opposite - that emotions and cognition are inextricably bound. Every kind of learning has an emotional grounding, while the emotional processes are necessary in order to utilise any kind of knowledge in everyday life. The first part of the current paper provides an overview of the studies dealing with the influence of emotions on the learning process, perception, attention, memory, critical thinking and motivation. In the second part of the paper, we speak about emotions in the educational context, and in the third about the implications of the studies dealing with emotions for education. The new insights into the relation between the emotional and cognitive processes inevitably have a bearing on the process of teaching and learning, as well as on teacher education. It is necessary to raise teachers' awareness of the importance of emotions in education and the consequent professional commitments and tasks as early as in the stage of pre-service education.

AB  - Emocionalni i kognitivni razvoj ličnosti kroz istoriju psihologije uglavnom su izučavani nezavisno. Poslednjih decenija, međutim, sve su češći argumenti u prilog ideji da je emotivni odnos majke i deteta u ranom detinjstvu, kroz formiranje sigurnog ili nesigurnog tipa vezanosti, u određenoj meri povezan sa kognitivnim razvojem. Na primer, deca sa sigurnom u afektivnom vezom u odnosu na decu sa nesigurnom afektivnom vezom imaju češće i duže epizode simboličke igre i naprednija su u domenu jezika u ranom detinjstvu. Deca sa sigurnim obrascem takođe su efikasnija i upornija pri rešavanju problema. Pred polazak u školu sigurna deca pokazuju bolje razumevanje tuđih osećanja i verovanja, kao i činjenice da oni određuju ponašanje ljudi, koje su samim tim u prilici da bolje razumeju i predvide. U radu ćemo pokušati da ukažemo na neke od mehanizama za koje se pretpostavlja da posreduju između emotivnog i kognitivnog razvoja. Naime, time što omogućava samostalnije istraživanje okoline, kvalitetnije socijalne odnose dece, veće samopouzdanje, bolju pažnju i razvijenije komunikativne sposobnosti, sigurna vezanost bi se potencijalno mogla povezati sa kognitivnim razvojem. AB  - Emotional and cognitive development of personality have mostly been explored independently in the history of psychology. However, in the last decades, there have been more and more frequent arguments in favour of the idea that the emotional relationship between the mother and the child in early childhood, through forming a secure or insecure attachment style, is to a certain extent linked to the cognitive development. For example, securely attached children, compared to the insecurely attached, have more frequent and longer episodes of symbolic play and are more advanced in the domain of language in early childhood. Securely attached children are also more efficient and persistent in solving problems. Before starting school, securely attached children understand better the feelings and beliefs of others, as well as the fact that these determine people's behaviour, thus having an opportunity to understand and predict this behaviour better. In this paper, we will attempt to point out some of the mechanisms that are assumed to be mediators between the emotional and cognitive development. Namely, since it enables a more independent exploration of the surroundings, more quality social relations among children, higher self-esteem, better focus and more developed communicative skills, secure attachment might potentially be linked to the cognitive development.

Naime, time što omogućava samostalnije istraživanje okoline, kvalitetnije socijalne odnose dece, veće samopouzdanje, bolju pažnju i razvijenije komunikativne sposobnosti, sigurna vezanost bi se potencijalno mogla povezati sa kognitivnim razvojem. PR Projekat Ministarstva nauke Republike Srbije, br. 179002., Emotional and cognitive development of personality have mostly been explored independently in the history of psychology. However, in the last decades, there have been more and more frequent arguments in favour of the idea that the emotional relationship between the mother and the child in early childhood, through forming a secure or insecure attachment style, is to a certain extent linked to the cognitive development. For example, securely attached children, compared to the insecurely attached, have more frequent and longer episodes of symbolic play and are more advanced in the domain of language in early childhood. Securely attached children are also more efficient and persistent in solving problems. Before starting school, securely attached children understand better the feelings and beliefs of others, as well as the fact that these determine people's behaviour, thus having an opportunity to understand and predict this behaviour better. In this paper, we will attempt to point out some of the mechanisms that are assumed to be mediators between the emotional and cognitive development. Namely, since it enables a more independent exploration of the surroundings, more quality social relations among children, higher self-esteem, better focus and more developed communicative skills, secure attachment might potentially be linked to the cognitive development.",
