dc.description.abstractIn this paper we represent the investigation or orientational value of secondary scholars interpreting and analyzing the data we have obtained. This investigation has been done in 1994 and the sample has been 2134 pupils from Yugoslavia; it is a part of much broader project 'Secondary Scholars in Yugoslavia which was realized by 'Argument' - Agency for Applied Politological and Sociological investigation in cooperation with Ciet International and Mac Master University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Starting from various classification of orientational values we look apart light and included then into investigation analyzing pupils' answers we have got the following range of preferential orientational values: 1. social orientation. 2. theoretical, 3. esthetical, 4. performative, 5. political, 6. economical. 7. hedonistic. 8. religious. We also analyzed relationships among pupils' choice of certain orientational value and other numerous variables such as examinee's sex, age, kind of secondary school he/she attends in the former school year, mother's and father's level of schooling, the amount of pocket money per month, the place of living, regional origin, nationality, how he/she uses leisure time. what examinee strongly stands for, ideals, social distances towards groups which are not nationally based (except for Gypsies) and absence or presence of ideological orientation.en
