Influence of expressionism in interwar architecture of Leskovac and its surrounding: Topic neglected by historiographic research-a neglected historiographic research topic

Belgrade's eminent architects, hired by wealthy clients over a wide area of southern and eastern Serbia, in flowed expressionism during the mid-thirties in Leskovac and its surroundings. They were qualified as paragraphs/ author's remarks i.e. allocations of new structures in the space to emphasize social prestige of wealthy investors. Based on the current historiographical research, two main examples of Expressionism in interwar Leskovac architecture are highlighted: An effectively accented angular facade on ground floor of Artisans Club by unknown architect from 1935 and treated with more expressionistim/designed with more expressionism one-family/single-family house of Ljuba Marinkovic from 19371938, designed by renowned architect Serbian Branislav Kojic. Surroundings of Leskovac includes factory facilities of Textile Factory (1934-1935) in Vučje (architect Grigorije Samojlova), Parunović family house (1938) in Vlasotince and Orthodox Church St. Jovan Krstitelj in Grdelica 1935-193...8 (arch.Momir Korunovic).
