Abstract
The current discussion about the a number of possibilities that Web 2.0 provides and ever more intensive and evident application of Web 2.0 in the field of communication, acquisition, dissemination and management of knowledge, puts internet in the very center of interest not only of scientific and professional community, but also of the general public. The discussion is directed primarily to a new dimension of interactivity of Web 2.0, which allows the evolution of passive Internet users into active participants and producers of its contents. This evolution is based on participation, interaction, collaboration, feedback and (self) socialization, and opens numerous, so far much less probable opportunities for learning, (self) education and knowledge management. Internet provides both access to a deep source of information and knowledge, and the tools necessary for obtaining, processing and managing them. The paper presents one selected model of social form (community of practice) that u...ses the potential of Web 2.0 for the production, organization, dissemination and processing of information and knowledge - in other words - for learning and knowledge management via the internet. In the paper is also presented a review of different tools of interactive communication space most widely used for this purpose. The paper is primarily oriented on the processes of gaining, sharing and managing knowledge via the internet, both in context of formal education and life long learning.
