Odbacivanje odeće pokojnika - aspekt društvene organizacije prostora u našoj tradicijskoj kulturi

Abstract

Običaj odbacivanje odeće pokojnika je sagledan kao element konstruisanja društvenog prostora. Polazne tačke su: ako se odeća baca, gde se baca, i ako se poklanja, kome se poklanja. Fizički prostor je u srpskoj tradicijskoj zajednici promišljan kao predmet vlasništva i korišćenja, tako da je načinjena korelacija između toga gde se odeća pokojnika baca, ili kome se poklanja, i prisvojnih zamenica moj, naš, nečiji, ničiji, u smislu postojanja hijerarhije spacijalnih entiteta za svaku od ovih zamenica; svaki od spacijalnih entiteta (npr. kuća, prag, dvorište, bašta, međa, grob) je asociran sa kategorijom osoba, živih i mrtvih, lično poznatih ili nepoznatih.

The ancient Serbian custom of redempting the deceased one's cloths is reviewed in this paper as an element of social space construction. Two major points are if the cloths are rejected - where are they thrown off, and if they are given to somebody - whom they are given to. Physical space was thought in Serbian traditional community as a matter of property and of its usage, so the correlation is made between where the cloths are thrown off or whom they are given to, and the pronouns mine, ours, someone's, no ones as the crucial elements for thinking of the physical space in traditional community thought. There is spatial entities hierarchy for each of these adjectives, for an example house, threshold, yard, gate, fruit/vegetable lane, medja (which is traditional material sign for marking the borders of private estate), grave. Furthermore, each of these spatial entities are associated with the category of persons, both living and dead, personally known and unknown.
