Predložena je metoda za komponentnu analizu nekog skupa kvantitativnih varijabli izvedenu ortonormalnom transformacijom glavnih komponenata tako da se, pod kriterijumom najmanjih kvadrata, aproksimira neka hipotetska matrica strukture latentnih dimenzija sa proizvoljnim, ali nepoznatim korelacijama. Regresijska matrica za izračunavanje latentnih dimenzija definisana je transformacijom matrice strukture, dobijene Schoenemannovom metodom konfirmativne faktorske analize, u Mahalanobisov oblik. Izvedene su formalne relacije između predložene metode i metoda koje su predložili Schoenemann (1966) i Cvitaš i Momirović (1984) i definisane mere donje granice i apsolutne donje granice pouzdanosti latentnih dimenzija analogne merama koje je predložio Momirović (1996).
The method has been suggested for component analysis of a set of quantitative variables derived by orthonormal transformation of the main components so that the criterion of the least squares is used for approximation of a hypothetic matrix of a latent dimension structure with arbitrary but unknown correlations. The regression matrix for calculation of the latent dimensions is defined by the structure matrix transformation obtained by Schoenemann's method of confirmation factorial analysis into the Mahalanobis's form. The formal relations between the recommended method and methods suggested by Schoenemann (1966) and Cvitas and Momirovic (1984) have been derived while the upper and absolute lower reliability limits of the latent dimensions analog to the measures proposed by Momirovic (1996) have been defined.
