Ekumenizam u sociološkoj perspektivi : društvenohistorijski horizont, teorijsko uokvirenje i (inter)konfesionalni izazovi

Abstract

Ova doktorska disertacija istražuje ekumenizam iz jednog osobenog teorijskog iepistemološkog ugla. Uz pomoć cjelovitog obuhvata i međudisciplinarnognadovezivanja težila se predočiti priroda i struktura ekumenizma, kao i poimanjenjegovih zastupnika i privrženika. Istraživačka je pažnja posvećena i antiekumenizmu,kao i razlozima koji se navode u prilog takvog jednog stanovišta.U prvom dijelu rada predočavaju se kardinalni pojmovi (ekumena, ekumenizam,ekumeničnost) i historija samog ekumenizma. Povijest ekumenizma je razvrstana u trivremenska isječka: paleoekumenizam, protoekumenizam, moderni ekumenizam. Nakonopojmovljenja i opovjesnjenja ekumenizma, dati su obrisi aksiologije ekumenizma. Onošto bi trebalo da odlikuje homo ecumenicusa čine tri krucijalna svojstva: dijalogičnost,irenizam i agapizam.Kako bi se ekumenizam što je moguće svestranije i nijansiranije istražio, on seumetnuo u izvjestan kategorijalni i teorijski okvir. U drugom dijelu rada ekumenizam jeprelaman kroz tri teorijska pristupa: posvjetovljenje, globalizaciju i postmodernu.Pokazalo se da su navedeni teorijski obrasci bili saznajno plodonosni pri nastojanju dase objasni i razumije ekumenizam.U preostalom dijelu rada ekumenizam se sagledavao uzastopno s ove i one stranehrišćanstva. Trokonfesionalnost hrišćanstva je uslovila da se ekumenizam zasebnorazmatra u okviru protestantizma, rimokatoličanstva i pravoslavlja. Dakako, to nije bilaprepreka da se tri pomenute konfesije stave u višestrani uporedni okvir. Traganje zaprihvatljivim granicama približavanja hrišćana odvelo je ovo istraživanje i s one stranehrišćanstva. Propitivalo se da li ekumenizam posjeduje svereligijske i opštečovječanskekapacitete.Najzad, u zaključnim se razmatranjima pravi bilans dosadašnjih ekumenističkihpostignuća, kao što se oprezno nude i smjernice za stvaralačke proboje nekog budućegekumenizma.Ovako zamišljen rad zahtjevao je posebnu vrstu hermeneutičkih zahvata, ujednokritičkih i uživljavajućih. Razlagan je ekumenizam iz historijskoidejne, fenomenološke,kritičkoideološke i teološkoantropološke tačke gledišta. Mimo konfiguracija i diskursaekumenizma, velika pažnja je posvećena i znatnom broju njegovih poslenika

This doctoral dissertation explores ecumenism from a particular theoretical andepistemological angle. With the help of comprehensive coverage and interdisciplinaryreference, the idea was to point out the nature and structure of ecumenism, as well as tounderstand its representatives and defenders. Special attention is devoted to antiecumenismand its rationale.In the first part of the work, some of the key notions are presented (ecumena,ecumenism, being ecumenical), including the history of ecumenism itself. History ofecumenism is classified in three temporal segments: paleo-, proto- and modernecumenism. After defining ecumenism and putting it into historical frame, thecontouring of its axiology is given. There are three distinctive attributes homoecumenicus: willingness for dialogue, irenicism and agapism.In order to look into ecumenism in its most comprehensive and nuanced way, ithad to be placed in a particular conceptual and theoretical framework. In the second partof this work, ecumenism is refracted through three theoretical approaches:secularization, globalization and postmodernism. It is apparent that these theoreticalpatterns are epistemologically fruitful in explaining and comprehending ecumenism.In the rest of the work, ecumenism is perceived successively within and withoutChristianity. The existence of three major branches of Christianity prompted us to lookat ecumenism within Protestantism, Catholicism and Orthodoxy. These threeconfessions were accordingly assessed in a comparative frame. A search for acceptablepoints of approachment between Christians has led this study even beyond Christianity.It was examined whether ecumenism has pan-religious and universal human capacities.Finally, in concluding observations, a balance of previous ecumenicalachievements is given. Guidelines for constructive breakthrough of some future formsof ecumenism is carefully submitted as well.Consequently, this work has required a special sort of hermeneuticalengagement, both critical and interpretative in its character. Ecumenism has beenanalysed from the point of view of history of ideas, phenomenology, critique ofideology and theological antropology.Besides the configuration and discourses of ecumenism, special attention waspaid to the considerable number of its proponents
