Spomenica Ljubomira Davidovića poznat je, ali u istoriografiji gotovo zanemaren i nedovoljno iskorišćen istorijski izvor. Ponovno, pažljivije iščitavanje otkriće, verujemo, bogatstvo njenog sadržaja i podstaći istraživanje nekih još neotvorenih istoriografskih tema.
Photoprint of the Commemorative Volume on Ljubomir Davidović published in 1940, gives us a pretext for a new reading and contemplation on several issues - lifetime of a person to whom the volume was dedicated, fate of the generation he belonged to, type of a Serbian politician, times he lived in, meeting points of several epochs he witnessed and whose victim he became, Democratic Party, political situation in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, political influences on the everyday occurrences and events, inseparable liaisons of his private and public life as a politician. This volume is not only a commemoration Democratic Party tributes to its deceased leader. When reading today, six decades later, the book surprises its reader with certain naïveté in some of its parts, when revealing the mentality of the past times, but much more surprises with the seriousness of the concept and its content as well as the modern approach in the contemplation of some issues.
