Српски посланици на Угарском сабору од 1910. до 1918. године

Abstract

У раду је на основу званичних Дневника Заступничке куће Угарског сабора представљена делатност српских посланика у највишем представничком телу Угарске у току последњег саборског периода пре слома Аустро-Угарске. У ужој Угарског изабрано је девет лица српске националности с програмом владине Националне странке рада, док се број Срба међу делегатима из Хрватске и Славоније на Угарском сабору кретао од дванаест до петнаест. Српски посланици из уже Угарске у Представничком дому заступали су партикуларне интересе становништва својих изборних округа, док су о потребама српског грађанства у Угарској искључиво говорили на основу Народносног закона из 1868, стога су своју пажњу усредсредили на културне и просветне потребе српског становништва. Српски делегати Хрватско-славонског сабора припадали су хрватској политичкој нацији, те нису истицали засебне српске интересе, већ су штитили аутономију Хрватске и Славоније од насртаја пештанских властодржаца

During the elections for the Diet of Hungary in 1910 in Hungary proper, a total of nine persons of Serb nationality ran for office with the program of the government’s National Party of Work, as well as seven persons from the Serb national and oppositional parties. Due to the limited suffrage and the pressure from the administrative apparatus on the voters, all Serbian oppositional candidates failed, while the government’s candidate were elected without any difficulties. The Hungarian (Magyar) opposition also suffered a heavy defeat, so the governing party won sixty-two percentages of the available seats. The Serbian MPs spoke about the separate interests of their electoral districts, while their demands related to the needs of Serbs of Hungary were within the framework of the Nationalities Law of 1868, therefore they demanded a state grant for Serbian educational and cultural institutions, as well as consistent use of the population’s native language in education, administration and the judiciary. The only interpellation was submitted by Živko Bogdan to the Prime Minister László Lukács on the occasion of the annulment of Serb church-national decrees adopted after the Imperial Rescript of August 10, 1868. In addition to Serb deputies from Hungary proper, Croatian-Slavonian delegates of Serb nationality had the opportunity to represent the interests of the Serbs in the House of Representatives of the Diet of Hungary. Since they were elected to the Hungarian parliament based on the political program of the Croat-Serb Coalition, they did not belong to the government majority. However, they did not publicly advocate for the separate interests of the Serb people, because they considered themselves an integral part of the Croat political nation, and mostly spoke of violations of the Croat autonomy, which was based on the provisions of the 1868 Croatian-Hungarian Settlement.
