Циљ рада је да представи случајеве из живота Начелства и Суда Округа ваљевског, као одраз функционисања државних институција у унутрашњости Србије 1840-их.
In this article several cases are presented from the life of the Court and the Municipality of
the County of Valjevo in the 1840s. These cases show us the functioning patterns of government
institutions in the inland Serbia and their interaction with the higher state authorities in Belgrade,
the State Council and the Prince. Cases analized in this article are considering excessive consumption of prescribed goods, the way in which buildings were provided for the accommodation
of state institutions in Valjevo, the repair of these buildings, and the trial of county officials, with a
view to the manner of furnishing the premises of the County Court itself
