Centurio ordinarius or medicus ordinarius on a Fragmentary Inscription from Singidunum
Апстракт
A fragmentary Latin inscription was discovered in 2016 during the reconstruction works in the Upper Town of the Belgrade fortress. Erected after Hadrian’s reign, it commemorates the wife of a soldier or officer of the legion IV Flavia. The most interesting feature of the text is the dedicator’s rank, partially preserved at the beginning of the first line. Epigraphic evidence implies that it should be resotred as centurio ordinarius or medicus ordinarius.
