Антиминсна графика Анастаса Јовановића : истористичкa реинтерпретацијa барокног узора

Abstract

Штампани антиминси из бечке радионице Анастаса Јовановића науци су непознат материјал. Након добијања црквене аутономије, питање набавке антиминса за православне храмове на подручју Београдске митрополије постаје врло значајно. Сачувани антиминси из 19. века разнородни су, а типолошки је најраспрострањенији антиминс начињен по узору на онај који је за митрополита Јована Георгијевића бакрорезао Георг Николај у другој половини 18. века. Aрхивски извори, уз фотографску грађу из заоставштине Анастаса Јовановића, те огласи из „Србских новина“ праћени илустрацијама, упућују да се он половином 19. века бавио уметничким обликовањем и дистрибуцијом антиминсних графика. Недавно пронађени антиминси сачувани у Епархији нишкој Српске православне Цркве, штампани у Бечу са потписом Анастаса Јовановића, освећивани током друге половине 19. века, недвосмислено указују да је управо он заслужан за преузимање каснобарокног графичког предлошка Георга Николаја који ће се, захваљујући истористичким схватањима, задржати у оптицају готово до половине 20. века.

The printed antimensia from the Viennese workshop of Anastas Jovanović are not known to the scholarly public. However, they are not only important for gaining better insight into the artistic production of their creator but also for understanding the currents in Serbian national church history of the 19th century. After gaining church autonomy, an important issue arose: procuring antimensia for churches in the area of the Metropolitanate of Belgrade. Preserved antimensia from the 19th century are diverse, yet typologically, the most common antimensia type is modeled after the example of Georg Nikolaj, rendered for Metropolitan Jovan Georgijević in the second half of the 18th century. Archival sources, together with the photographs from the artistic legacy of Anastas Jovanović, as well as the illustrations from "Srbske novine" that were accompanying advertisements, unequivocally indicate that Jovanović was engaged in the artistic design and distribution of antimension graphics in the middle of the 19th century. His role in appropriating the eighteenth-century iconographic pattern rendered in Vienna for the Metropolitanate of Karlovci was completely unknown until now. Recently discovered antimensia with the signature of Anastas Jovanović, printed in Vienna for the Eparchy of Timok, are preserved in the Eparchy of Niš. These liturgical objects are the direct examples of the artistic production of the Viennese workshop of Anastas Jovanović. Numerous antimensia created in the second half of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th attest that Anastas Jovanović was responsible for the appropriation and dissemination of the late baroque graphic model of Georg Nikolaj. His academic education and attitude towards the decorative arts were informed by the era of historicism. Thus, the magnificence of the baroque model suited the artistic currents of the second half of the 19th century. The antimensia of Anastas Jovanović links the earlier model with its mass reproduction almost a century later. Hence, the newly discovered antimension graphics expand our previous knowledge about the activities of Anastas Jovanović in the field of church art.
