Мемоар Јована Милинковића о деловању српске тајне организације у источним и североисточним деловима Босанског ејалета (1850–1851)

Abstract

Рад је посвећен Јовану Милинковићу, агенту Шабачког предела, и његовом Мемоару о деловању тајне организације Илије Гарашанина у источним и североисточним деловима Босанског ејалета (Бијељинска, Тузланска, Градачка, Маглајска, Зворничка и Бирачка нахија) у периоду од почетка 1850. до лета 1851. године. Мемоар представља до сада једино познато сведочанство непосредног учесника – агента, о раду тајне организације средином 19. века. Оригинал рукописа је похрањен у Државном архиву Србије у збирци Радослава Перовића. У раду је дата до сада најпотпунија Милинковићева биографија и критички је приређен његов Мемоар, који представља један од најзначајнијих изворa за проучавање делатности Гарашанинове тајне организације на самом почетку 50-их година 19. столећа.

The (Promised) Memoir on the Propaganda in Turkey in 1850 by Jovan Milinković is one of the most important historical sources for studying the activities of the Secret Organization of Ilija Garašanin in the mid-19th century. He was involved in the work of the organization from the beginning of 1850 until the summer of 1851. Milinković left a significant testimony about foreign activities in the territory of the eastern and northeastern part of the Bosnian Eyalet during that period. Through načelnici (nahiya elders) and kmetovi (village elders) he operated in Bijeljina, Tuzla, Gradačac, Maglaj, Zvornik and Birač nahiya. He maintained contacts with them through Nikola’s pandurs or he met with them personally during church fairs near the Tavna monastery, at the foot of the Majevica mountain. In order not to raise suspicion among the local Muslims concerning his visits to Bosnia, he established friendly relations with Mustaj Bey Urembegović, the Sipahi of Janja, and the Metropolitan of Zvornik, Agatangel, to whom he brought books as a gift for schools in his diocese. The knowledge of the Ottoman authorities about the work of the Secret Organization in the Ottoman provinces in the neighbourhood of Serbia, influenced Garašanin to reduce the activities to the greatest possible extent, which resulted in a reduction in the number of agents. In such circumstances, the foreign activity of Jovan Milinković ended in the summer of 1851. Milinković especially emphasized the actions of Omer Pasha Latas in the Niš Sanjak and the Bosnian Eyalet, which contributed to breaking the network of Serbian secret agents.
