Четврто бомбардовање Београда у једном веку - Пркос и страх марта 1999. године

Abstract

За време ваздушних удара Северноатлантског пакта (НАТО) на Савезну Републику Југославију 1999. године, Београд је претрпео озбиљне материјалне и људске губитке. Рад прати манифестације страха код становништва главног града, како непосредно уочи рата, тако и оне изазване догађајима током прве недеље бомбардовања. У њему су представљени унутрашњи доживљаји ратне стварности, звукова сирене, надлетање авиона, разарања итд. Уз свакодневни живот људи и притисак који су преживљавали, у фокусу је и њихов отпор „невидљивом непријатељу“. Чланак je написан на основу објављене грађе, периодике и доступне литературе.

During the air strikes of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999, Belgrade suffered serious material and human losses. This work follows the manifestations of the fear among the population of the Yugoslav capital, both on the eve of the war, and those caused by the events during the first week of the bombing. It observes the inner experiences of the reality of war – siren sounds, planes flying over, destruction, etc. In numerous testimonies and memories, it can be seen that anxiety was more present on the eve of war, while during the last week of March, different forms of fear were predominate. The people of Belgrade used the whole spectrum of synonyms for the word fear in their insecure everyday life. Along with people's pressure, they were going through; their resistance to the "invisible enemy" is also in focus. Without denying the role of the state in numerous anti-war demonstrations, it is clear that individuals, groups, and organizations took the initiative to provide passive resistance. The fourth bombing of Belgrade in the 20th century, in the end of it, united its inhabitants, both in fear and in defiance. The article was based on published materials, periodicals, and available literature.
